Breast implant replacement surgery is a common request. There are many reasons why patient may request breast implant replacement surgery:

Saline Versus Silicone: Which Breast Implant Is Better?
Women have the choice of saline breast implants or silicone breast implants. There is no debate about which breast implant provides a more natural look. Many women who've had breast implants in the last 15 years have been forced by FDA restriction to have saline implants. However, now that the FDA has reinstated (11/06) the cosmetic use of silicone breast implants, many more women are choosing to have either their initial surgery or surgery to replace their current saline implants was silicone gel implants. The main reason why women ask for breast implant replacement surgery is because the silicone implants look and feel more similar to a natural breast than the saline they previously had.
There are some very important differences in saline implants and silicone breast implants. This information will be provided for your review and complete understanding. The surgical procedure performed is nearly identical in technique, duration and recovery. Nuveen Cosmetic Surgery does, however, pass on the additional supply cost of silicone gel implants to the patient. Specific fees will be quoted in writing to each patient.
Is Breast Implant Replacement Surgery More Risky?
Some women would like to have breast implant replacement surgery, but they worry that the replacement surgery will be more dangerous or complicated than the initial augmentation surgery. Breast implant replacement surgery does carry slightly different risks, and some are higher than the initial surgery, but in most cases, this percentage is not significant enough to be alarming.
